Connect Google Gemini to your computer with Remote Arc

Add a Gemini custom MCP connector, authorize your Remote Arc account and discover tools on a paired Windows, macOS or Linux computer. The guide includes original screenshots of Gemini's setup screens.

1. Pair your computer

On the computer you want Gemini to use, run npx remotelink and complete Remote Arc device pairing. The computer controls which tools and workspaces are available.

2. Add the Google Gemini custom connector

Open https://gemini.google.com/customize/connectors, choose + Custom and enter https://mcp.remotearc.app/mcp as the MCP Server URL. Click Next to begin account linking.

3. Authorize and name the connection

Review Google's account linking consent, complete Remote Arc authorization, and save the custom app as Remote Arc. Review available MCP actions, then choose Connect.

4. Use now and verify

In the Remote Arc connector details choose Use now, then ask Gemini to list paired devices. Start with read-only tools and grant broader permissions only when required. The target computer must remain online.
